Let’s keep it real, you want to fish. We want to take you fishing. We don’t want to charge you and not take you fishing. But, if you cancel at the last minute, you leave a captain onshore without someone to go fishing with. Which means, they likely passed up the opportunity to take someone else.
The state of Texas now requires a salt water fishing license for ALL trips, including deep sea trips. The only exceptions are for anyone under 17 years old or anyone born before 9/1/1930. Everyone else must have their license with them. Also, be sure that the license includes the red drum tag.

No, much like fishing anywhere, there's never a guarantee of a catch. However, it's quite rare that we come back empty-handed. There might be days when you don't reel in precisely what you were hoping for or miss out on that prized keeper fish to take home. Nevertheless, chances are you'll still land some fish; they just might not be the specific ones you had in mind.
The Gulf of Mexico offers a wide variety of fish depending on the season and package you choose. You could reel in Red Snapper, Kingfish, Ling, Spanish Mackerel, Triple Tail, Amberjack, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Tuna, and much more!
Wear comfortable clothes (jeans, shorts, swimsuit, beach towel). (You may want to dress in layers during the cooler months. )
We suggest using long-sleeve SPF shirts, face buffs, and hats as our preferred method of sun protection. Not only do these items effectively shield you from the sun's rays, but they also help keep you cool, eliminating the need for frequent reapplication of sunscreen.
We highly recommend using rub-on sunscreen during your time on the boat. However, if you prefer spray on sunscreen, we kindly ask that you refrain from applying it while on board, as it can potentially damage the boat's gel coat.
Wear soft sole shoes
Use Polarized Sunglasses
DON’T FORGET Funds for any trip balances including gratuity.
If you haven't experienced a boat charter before, there's a chance you might experience seasickness. To help mitigate this, we recommend trying one of the following methods:
--Dramamine, Dramamine II (the less-drowsy formula), Bonine, and Triptone
--Scopolamine Patch (must be prescribed by your doctor)
--Ginger Lozenges or Ginger Gum
--Sip Ginger Ale
--Sea Bands
These options can often help alleviate symptoms and make your experience more enjoyable.
♦ No glass containers
♦ No Bananas please! Did you know bananas are bad luck on fishing trips? We don’t want to jinx your big catch, so let’s keep them off the boat.
♦ No firearms or explosives

♦ No GPS or LORANS allowed on board
♦ Absolutely no spray-on sunscreen before getting on the boat or while aboard. The chemicals in spray-on sunscreen can stain the boat.
